Detectives from the Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man discovered at the intersection of Princess and Beeston Street on Monday, February 12.
The body is of dark complexion, slim build, about 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) long and has a dreadlock hairstyle.
It was clad in blue jeans, a camouflage shirt and a navy blue pullover long-sleeve shirt, grey shoes and red tam.
According to reports, at approximately 8:50 pm, police patrolling the area heard gunshots. Upon investigation, they found the man lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Subsequently, another man arrived at the hospital, claiming to have sustained gunshot wounds in the same area. He is currently undergoing treatment.
Authorities urge anyone with pertinent information to contact the Denham Town CIB at 876-948-6443, the police emergency number 119, or the nearest police station.
