Law enforcement officials in the St Andrew South Police Division have made a significant breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to combat illegal firearms.
According to reports from the Olympic Gardens Police, a team of officers executed a search operation on Wint Road, Kingston 11, at approximately 4:10 pm on Wednesday.
During the meticulous search of a premises, officers stumbled upon a concealed cache. Hidden beneath a sheet of zinc at the rear of the property, authorities uncovered a Glock 9mm pistol, accompanied by a magazine loaded with five 9mm rounds.
Prompt action was taken by the law enforcement team to secure the firearm. However, as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the seizure.
The investigation into this significant discovery remains ongoing.
