St Elizabeth, Jamaica: Law enforcement officers in St Elizabeth successfully seized a substantial amount of ammunition and marijuana during an operation on Friday, resulting in the arrest of one individual.
According to a police source, the operation was conducted by the St Elizabeth Police in collaboration with the Area 3 Fugitive Apprehension Team in the Rich Pen district. During the search of a concrete-structured dwelling, officers discovered 43 shotgun cartridges, two five-gallon buckets filled with ganja seeds weighing approximately 50 pounds, and an additional five pounds of vegetable matter resembling ganja.
The man found at the premises was immediately taken into custody. Authorities are withholding his name as investigations continue.
“The successful operation underscores our commitment to cracking down on illegal activities in the parish,” said the police source.
