The Portmore police in St Catherine are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose lifeless body was found in a crashed motor vehicle.
She has been identified as 24-year-old Shantal Tobias from Old Braeton in Portmore, St Catherine.
Reports indicate that around 9:00 am, police responded to an accident scene along Orchid Close in Old Braeton. Tobias was discovered slumped over the steering wheel of a black Honda Stream that had crashed into a utility pole.
Tobias had sustained several injuries to her upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
