Westmoreland police have made a breakthrough in the shooting death of a man in Hartford community on Saturday night, March 16.
Police have now arrested and charged 27-year-old Andrew Black in connection with the death of 26-year-old Romario Grant, also known as ‘Duds’, a laborer from Hartford district.
According to reports from the Whithorne police, residents called the police around 9:20 p.m. after hearing multiple gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found Grant lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.
The scene was processed, and Grant’s body was taken to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
Following an investigation, police apprehended Black at a fast food outlet in Savanna la Mar last weekend. He was subsequently charged earlier this week with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
