Trelawny, Jamaica: Tragic Trelawny Crash – Police have identified the four victims who lost their lives in a fatal collision on the North Coast Highway in the Braco area of Trelawny on Sunday morning.
The deceased have been named as 39-year-old Jody Levy of Browns Town, 32-year-old Sabrina Downie of Discovery Bay, and 19-year-old Anthony Walters of Alexandria, all residents of St Ann. The fourth victim is 59-year-old taxi operator Marlon Lyons of a Braco address.
The tragedy unfolded when the Toyota Probox taxi, driven by Lyons, collided with the back of a truck carrying building materials. The impact of the crash was devastating.
According to reports, Downie, Lyons, and Walters died instantly at the scene. Levy was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment.
Three other passengers from the overloaded taxi are currently hospitalized and receiving medical care.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash as the community mourns the loss of these individuals in this heartbreaking incident.
