Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: The Rio Bueno police are now carrying out an investigation, surrounding the death of a man who was run over by a motor car while attempting to cross a section of the Bengal main road, in the parish on Saturday, October 20.
The deceased has been identified as George Ferguson, 56-year-old laborer also of Bengal district.
Reports by the Rio Bueno police are that about 7:15 p.m., Ferguson was walking along the Bengal main road.
He was in the process of crossing the roadway, when he was hit by a motorist who was travelling from the directions of Trelawny to St James.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival the wounded man was transported to the Falmouth hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the ill-fated motor car, has since been warned for prosecution.
