A man lost his life following a hit-and-run incident along Old Harbour Road near the Jamaica Broilers Group location in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased, whose identity has not yet been established, is described as being of slim build with a dark complexion. Reports indicate that around 3:30 a.m., he was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck by a Toyota Coaster travelling in the direction of Spanish Town.
The motorist failed to stop after the collision, and authorities have not obtained details regarding the vehicle’s colour or registration number.
The injured man was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 5:55 a.m.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident as efforts continue to identify both the victim and the driver involved.
