A fatal collision in the early hours of Wednesday has claimed the life of a man believed to be homeless in Montego Bay, St James.
Police reports indicate that shortly after midnight, the unidentified man was attempting to cross an intersection along Howard Cooke Boulevard when he was struck by a motor vehicle traveling toward the town centre. Moments later, he was hit by a second vehicle.
The injured man was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
His identity has not yet been confirmed. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly dressed in black clothing.
Eyewitnesses stated that the man had been observed walking along the roadway several times earlier that night.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
