NYC woman jumps to her death from luxury apartment building

A 40-year-old woman jumped to her death from a luxury apartment building in Midtown on Tuesday morning, according to authorities and police sources.

The woman — whose name was not immediately released — plunged from the window of her sixth-floor apartment on East 57th Street near Third Avenue in Midtown around 7:15 a.m., cops and sources said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The woman left behind a suicide note, according to sources.

The 19-story building was built in 1960 and has 111 apartment units, according to its StreetEasy profile.
