ANNOTTO BAY, St Mary — A 17-year-old known locally as Raheem “Murder” Smith was gunned down Tuesday night while playing dominoes with friends in Crooked River, Annotto Bay.
Police report that at around 10:20 p.m., two armed men approached a group of youths at a shop, asking to make a phone call. When their request was denied, the men reportedly opened fire, striking Smith in the upper body before fleeing in a waiting vehicle.
Smith was rushed to Annotto Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators say they are working to determine the motive behind the attack and to identify those responsible.
