Multi-Million Dollar Robbery at Supermarket in St Ann on Eve of Hurricane Beryl

St. Ann, Jamaica — The St Ann police are investigating a multi-million dollar robbery that took place at a supermarket in Run-Away-Bay on the eve of Hurricane Beryl.

Incident Details

Reports indicate that on Tuesday, the supermarket operators securely locked up the establishment as they prepared for the impending storm. However, on Wednesday morning, they were alerted to a robbery in progress.

By the time the security team arrived at the location, the robbers had already made their escape. The thieves had broken through a glass window and stolen over two million Jamaican dollars in cash, along with a quantity of other items from the supermarket.

The police are urging anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact the nearest police station or call the police emergency number at 119.
