The defamation lawsuit filed by dancehall entertainer Mr. Vegas against fellow artiste Bounty Killa is scheduled to return to the Supreme Court on May 27.
The legal action stems from an alleged defamatory post shared on Bounty Killa’s Instagram account. According to court filings, the claim relates to a video reportedly recorded and published on January 8, 2026.
Documents submitted to the court indicate that a judge will hear an application for an injunction filed by Mr Vegas’ legal representative. The application seeks an order compelling the defendant to remove the video from the platform.
In addition, the claimant is requesting that the court impose restrictions preventing Bounty Killa from making further statements about him. This would include references by name, image, or any description that could harm his reputation, pending the outcome of the case.
The court has also approved alternative methods for serving legal documents to the defendant. Instead of personal service, permission has been granted for the documents to be delivered through individuals close to him or by public notice. Two associates, including a member of his management team, have been identified for this purpose.
