ST MARY, JAMAICA — A tragic end has come to the search for a missing motorcyclist who disappeared early Sunday morning while riding with a group of fellow bikers. The body of Ronaldo Blackwood, otherwise known as ‘Chico’, was found in a ditch along Bottom Bay in Annotto Bay, St Mary.
Blackwood, a labourer with known addresses in both Highgate, St Mary and Above Rocks, St Catherine, was part of a group of bikers who had left a party in Annotto Bay and were travelling towards Above Rocks. According to police reports, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the other bikers realised that Blackwood was no longer with the group.
A search was immediately launched by the group, but they were unable to locate him. His family was subsequently informed, and efforts intensified with support from relatives, including his mother, and officers from the Annotto Bay Police Station.
Later that day, the search came to a heartbreaking conclusion when Blackwood’s black Jamco motorcycle and his lifeless body were discovered in a ditch in Bottom Bay. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of death.
The Annotto Bay Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
