A woman and her son died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on the Mandela Highway in St Catherine early Monday morning.
They have been identified as 40-year-old Tameika Peart, of a Kingston 11 address, and her son Jelani Wright.
According to reports, the accident happened about 2:18 a.m. near Ferry at the entrance to the North-South Highway.
Both died after sustaining injuries when the vehicle in which they were traveling crashed and overturned.
Investigations are ongoing.
