Mentally Challenged Man Shot by Security Guard in Montego Bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Mentally Challenged Man Shot: A mentally challenged man who hails from Albion Lane in Montego Bay and who reportedly attacked a security guard with a machete on the compound of the Kentucky Fried Chicken Outlet along Howard Cooke Boulevard, is now nursing gunshot wounds at the Cornwall Regional Hospital after he was shot and injured by the security guard.

Reports are that about 11:45 on Sunday, the 23-year-old mentally challenged man was seen attacking a customer on the KFC compound with a machete. He was approached by the security guard who asked him to leave, but instead of doing so, he attacked the security officer with the machete.

The wounded man was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.

This latest shooting is now being investigated by officers from the Freeport police station.
