Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Canned Ackee Containing Ganja Found: Investigations are being carried out at the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, following the seizure of several cans of ganja labeled as Canned Ackee at the Airport on Monday (August 28, 2017) afternoon. The police say no one has yet been arrested in connection with the seizure at this time, but they expect to make a breakthrough in the investigation over the next few days.
Reports are that about 3:40 p.m. on Monday a team of officers from the Contraband Enforcement Agency were carrying out routine checks on DHL Boxes at the Donald Sangster Airport in Montego Bay when they noticed that the labels on several Ackee Tins looked suspicious.
Observations revealed, that the cans which were labeled Linstead Market Ackee, were all found to contain large quantities of vegetable matter resembling ganja. The police are continuing their investigations.
