Westmoreland, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Westmoreland Female Succumbed: The police in Sav-la-mar have now confirmed that the woman who was shot and injured along the Little London Main Road over a week ago while returning from the Negril Police Station to visit a family member, has succumbed to gunshot injuries at the Kingston Public Hospital.
The dead woman has been identified as Tiffany Gooden of a Sav-la-mar address.
Reports are that over a week ago, a man who is said to be the spouse of the victim was taken into custody by the Negril police.
Gooden learned of his arrest and journeyed to Negril from Sav-la-mar to visit him. Some hours later she and other family member were returning from the station when a group of men traveling on motorcycles pulled up alongside the car along the Little London Main Road.
The men brandished firearms and opened fire hitting Gooden to the regions of her head before riding away.
The Little London police were alerted and upon arrival, the wounded woman was rushed to the Sav-la-mar Hospital where she was admitted in serious condition.
She was later transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital where she succumbed to injuries on Friday.
