The Hunts Bay police are searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a man at his home along Spanish Town Road in St Catherine last Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Barrington Barnett, a mason also residing on Spanish Town Road.
Around 5:30 am, residents of the community heard loud explosions and alerted the police. Upon arrival, the lawmen discovered Barnett inside his house, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The scene was processed, and Barnett’s body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination. Following the incident, a high-level investigation was launched, and a manhunt is now underway to apprehend the suspect. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
