The Westmoreland police seized two high-powered rifles during a major operation in sections of Kings Valley, Grange Hill, on Monday.
Reports indicate that shortly after 3:30 pm, the Westmoreland Divisional Intelligence Unit acted on a tip and conducted a search in a heavily vegetated area of Kings Valley.
During the search, the officers found two high-powered rifles, including a Colt AR-15 rifle. The description of the second rifle was not provided. Additionally, they discovered two M-16 magazines containing forty-nine 5.56 rounds and two level-3 tactical vests.
No arrests have been made in connection with the seizures. The police continue their investigation to track down those responsible for possessing these weapons.
