Mason Dies After Falling From Roof in Norbrook, St Andrew

St Andrew, Jamaica – Police have launched a death by misadventure investigation following the tragic death of a 28-year-old mason who fell from a roof in Norbrook, St Andrew, on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Tremaine Johnson, a resident of Norbrook Road.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 4:20 p.m., when Johnson reportedly fell from a roof during work. In the fall, a piece of steel reportedly pierced his head, causing severe injuries.

He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Constant Spring police are leading the investigation into the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that no foul play is suspected at this time.

The tragedy has left family members and community residents in mourning, as Johnson was reportedly well known in the area for his work in construction.
