SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine — A man was shot and killed by unknown assailants in the Corletts Road community on Friday morning.
He has been identified as 60-year-old Alphonso Samuels McDonald, otherwise called “Boo,” of the area.
Reports are that around 5:30 a.m., residents heard explosions coming from a section of the community. When checks were made, McDonald was found with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head.
Police were alerted and arrived to find him lying face down, dressed in a red T-shirt, camouflage pants, black socks, and black slippers.
He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No motive has yet been established, and detectives from the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have since launched a probe into the killing.
