Teen Charged with Robbery with Aggravation

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Detectives in the Corporate Area have slapped a Kingston teenager with a charge of robbery with aggravation following a brazen daylight incident along Heywood Street on Thursday, November 27.

The accused has been identified as 18-year-old Damoy Rhoden, otherwise called “D One”, of Fleet Street, Kingston.

According to police reports, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Rhoden, in the company of seven other men, allegedly approached a boy who was standing along the roadway. One member of the group, armed with a knife, reportedly held up the youngster and robbed him of cash and other property, before the group fled the area.

A report was later made to the police. During investigations, Rhoden was pointed out to officers the following day, apprehended, and taken into custody. He was subsequently charged.

His court date is currently being finalised.
