Man Shot Dead at Home in Old Harbour, St Catherine

Old Harbour, St Catherine – A 45-year-old mason, Marlon Mitchell, was shot dead at his Board Villa home in Marley Mount last night.

Police report that around 10:30 p.m., gunfire was heard at Mitchell’s residence. Responding officers found him inside his two-room board house with apparent gunshot wounds to the back and neck. He was wearing blue jean shorts and a black and orange shirt at the time.

Mitchell was transported to Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A post-mortem is scheduled, and no motive has yet been determined. The Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the case.
