A man was shot dead at a garage on Folly Road in Port Antonio on Monday afternoon, sending bystanders fleeing for safety.
The victim has been identified as Oshane “Kirky” Reid.
According to police reports, around 4:30 p.m., Reid was working on a motor vehicle when a man arrived at the garage inquiring about a used Toyota Axio bumper. After being told none were available, he walked away, leaving behind another man—later identified as a murder suspect—who was on his phone.
Without warning, the suspect pulled a firearm and opened fire, hitting Reid multiple times. As gunshots rang out, bystanders at the garage scrambled for cover, with some jumping into a nearby drain to escape the hail of bullets.
Police have yet to establish a motive for the killing, and no arrests have been made as investigations continue.
