The Mount Salem police are probing the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in the Rose Heights community in St. James on Monday.
The deceased has been identified so far only as ‘Michael,’ also of a Rose Heights address.
Reports are that around 3:20 am, residents in the community alerted the police after hearing gunshots being fired in a section of the community.
Upon arrival, the police found the man known as ‘Michael’ suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on a premises.
The scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
