Road Accident Along Flankers Main Road : The Coral Gardens police have not yet released the identity of a man who lost his life in a motor vehicle collision along a section of the Flankers main road in Montego Bay, St. James, on Friday morning.
Reports indicate that shortly after 5:30 am, the now-deceased, said to be from the Granville community, was driving a Nissan AD Wagon motor car from the direction of Ironshore towards Montego Bay.
Upon reaching the Whitehouse intersection, the now-deceased was in the process of turning onto the Whitehouse main road when he drove into the path of a Mercedes Benz traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact of the crash caused the AD Wagon motor car to split into two, resulting in the driver being killed on the spot.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, the scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
