The Cambridge police have arrested and charged a 48-year-old barber and three other men after an illegal firearm was discovered at a premises occupied by them in Bicker Steth community, St. James, on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Orville Lawrence, also known as ‘Quest’, 34-year-old Jermaine Samuels, also known as ‘Qwayne’, 19-year-old Marlon Reid, all residents of Bicker Steth community, and 28-year-old Sushaine Kerr, also known as ‘Baller’, a mason from Copperwood community.
Reports indicate that around 3:15 pm, the police conducted a targeted operation in the community, during which a house occupied by all four men was searched.
During the search, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol fitted with a magazine containing three live rounds was found in the ceiling of the kitchen.
All four men were taken into custody and subsequently charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition.
