The head of the Clarendon Police, Acting Senior Superintendent Shane McCalla, has reported that a man was killed during a police confrontation in Clarendon on Friday morning. SSP McCalla has urged those involved in criminal activities to surrender peacefully to law enforcement.
Clarendon is currently under a State of Emergency following the Cherry Tree Lane massacre on August 11, where eight people were killed and nine others injured. The police have been actively pursuing suspects, with two men, Leighton White (also known as ‘Banz’) and Dushane Smalling (known as ‘Snowman’), recently charged with eight counts of murder and nine counts of wounding with intent.
The authorities continue their efforts to bring all responsible parties to justice and maintain order in the parish.
