Stephanie ‘Medikk’ Williams: A Final Farewell to a Rising Dancehall Star

Stephanie ‘Medikk’ Williams, a beloved dancehall artist and entrepreneur, will be laid to rest on August 24th, marking one year since her disappearance. Williams, who rose to fame in 2018 with hits like “Money Feelings” and collaborations with other artists, was tragically found dead earlier this year. Her disappearance and murder have left her family and fans devastated, and many are still seeking answers and justice for her untimely death.

Medikk was last seen on August 24, 2023, wearing black tights, shoes, and a black top. After months of searching and public appeals, including protests led by her mother, Millicent McCurdy, her remains were discovered in a cane field in St. Catherine, Jamaica, on February 14, 2024. Authorities confirmed she had been shot, and although there are persons of interest in her case, no arrests have been made.

A service of thanksgiving for her life will be held at the Church of God in Savanna la Mar, Westmoreland, on the anniversary of her disappearance. This service will allow family, friends, and fans to remember Medikk, not just for her music but for her vibrant spirit and the bright future that was tragically cut short.
