ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Detectives are probing a fatal shooting that left one man dead and another hospitalized following a party in Tryall Heights in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Dead is 43-year-old Lamore White, also known as “Biggie,” a promoter from the Tryall Heights community.
According to police reports, about 2:50 a.m. a party was underway at Red Car Wash, where music was being played from a private motor vehicle. As the event concluded and organizers began dismantling equipment, loud explosions rang out, causing patrons to flee the area.
After the scene settled, a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds to his buttocks and groin. A subsequent search of nearby bushes led to the discovery of White’s body. Law enforcement officers observed what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.
White was pronounced dead at the location. The injured 40-year-old man was transported to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.
