KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Government of Jamaica has advised its nationals to avoid all travel to the Middle East following escalating military tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
The advisory comes in response to recent joint U.S.–Israeli airstrikes targeting sites in Iran and subsequent retaliatory actions, which have significantly heightened instability across the region.
In a public statement, Jamaican authorities urged citizens currently residing in or visiting affected territories to exercise extreme caution, remain indoors where possible, and closely monitor official security updates. Nationals were also encouraged to maintain contact with local authorities and Jamaican diplomatic representatives.
The government noted that the security situation remains fluid and unpredictable, with reports of military activity and rising tensions in several areas. In addition, widespread airspace closures and flight disruptions have been reported, impacting travel throughout the Middle East and creating uncertainty for international passengers.
Officials said they are continuing to monitor developments and will provide further guidance as necessary.
Jamaicans planning overseas travel are being advised to review official travel advisories before making arrangements and to prioritize their safety during this period of heightened regional conflict.
