Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: A man who was recently apprehended at a section of Christiana in the parish of Manchester has been officially charged with the murder of a Chinese businessman in St Ann.
The accused has been identified as 21-year-old Cheston Morrison of Retirement District in Brown’s Town, St Ann and he has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Chinese businessman Teng Fei Cheng also of Browns Town.
Reports are that about 3:30 p.m. on February 27, the Chinese businessman was sitting inside his car immediately outside his business place. Further reports are that the victim was talking on his cellphone when two men entered his motor car from the rear and shot him to the back of his head. He died on the spot.
An intensive investigation quickly led to the arrest of three persons which includes one of the deceased Chinese businessman employees.
A joint effort by St Ann and Manchester police led to Morrison’s arrest at a house at a section of Christiana in Manchester known as Pike District.
He has since been charged with Murder, Conspiracy to commit murder and robbery.
