CHICAGO, IL – A man who was fatally shot in Chicago on August 13, while streaming live on Facebook has been identified as 42-year-old Kevin Watson, also known as “Tugg.”
According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. near Madison and LeClaire on the city’s West Side.
Watson was reportedly sitting inside his vehicle, livestreaming on Facebook, when he was approached by two to three armed individuals who demanded his chain. When he exited the vehicle and refused to comply, he was shot in the chest at close range.
First responders arrived on scene shortly after and found Watson lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time, and Area 4 Detectives are actively investigating.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact police.
