ST ANN, Jamaica — A 37-year-old man from Brook Green, Ocho Rios, is now facing a series of serious charges, including murder, arson, and shooting with intent, following a violent break-in at a residence in Clark’s Town, Trelawny.
The accused, Floyd Gray, is alleged to have forced entry into the home alongside his co-conspirators, leading to a deadly sequence of events.
Reports indicate that on Tuesday, October 15, Gray and his accomplices kicked down the front door of the residence and allegedly opened fire inside the home. One of the bullets struck a female occupant, who was then unable to escape before the assailants reportedly set the house ablaze.
Upon hearing the gunfire and seeing the flames, neighbors quickly contacted the authorities. Police arrived at the scene shortly after and assisted the wounded woman to the hospital; however, she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
Gray later surrendered to the authorities and was formally charged with the crimes. The police have stated that arrangements are being made to set a court date where Gray will answer to these allegations.
