The Hanover police have launched a manhunt for a man identified only as ‘Macka,’ who reportedly shot and injured an elderly farmer at Bachelor’s Hall in the Cold Spring community on Monday.
Reports indicate that around 9:00 p.m., the 50-year-old farmer was at home when ‘Macka’ approached the dwelling and called him outside.
Both men became involved in a heated argument, during which ‘Macka’ pulled a handgun and opened fire, hitting the farmer multiple times.
‘Macka’ then made his escape on foot. The police were summoned, and the wounded farmer, who was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted to intensive care.
The lawmen processed the scene and have launched a manhunt to apprehend ‘Macka’.
