London, UK (McKoy’s News) — Outrage and heartbreak shook London today as a young nursery worker was sentenced for the cruel abuse of 21 innocent babies left in her care.
22-year-old Roksana Lecka, from Hounslow, west London, has been exposed as a predator who carried out shocking acts of child cruelty inside nurseries where parents trusted her to protect their little ones.
Lecka’s abuse stretched from October 2023 to June 2024, across two nurseries — one in Twickenham and another in Hounslow. What unfolded was described in court as “sadistic and deliberate acts” against babies as young as six months old.
Witnesses and CCTV revealed the disturbing truth:
- Babies were pinched, scratched, and kicked.
- Toddlers were pushed head-first into cots.
- A little boy was even kicked in the face.
- On another occasion, Lecka was seen covering a child’s mouth.
The abuse shocked parents and staff alike, with many families left devastated that their children had been harmed in a place that should have been safe.
Lecka faced 21 counts of child cruelty. She admitted seven charges and was found guilty of the remaining 14 by a jury. Today, at Kingston Crown Court, she was jailed for her crimes.
Police described her actions as “systematic, cold, and calculated.” Parents broke down in tears as the sentence was handed down, some saying their children may never fully recover from the trauma.
This case has sparked urgent calls for tighter vetting of nursery workers in the UK, with campaigners demanding that childcare providers strengthen monitoring and safeguards to prevent another tragedy like this.
As one parent told reporters outside court: “We trusted her with our babies. She destroyed that trust forever.”
