Detectives in the Kingston East Division have arrested and charged 20-year-old Kevin Williams of Second Avenue, Vineyard Town, following the murder of 58-year-old Rosemarie Samuels on Sunday, November 23.
Reports are that the two, who lived at the same address, had a dispute over money. Williams allegedly left and returned with an axe, which he used to inflict multiple wounds on Samuels. She was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.
Williams was charged with murder on Monday, November 24.
DSP Keaton Barrett praised investigators for their swift action, noting the case was resolved in under 24 hours. Williams’ court date is being finalised.
