Jamaica Labour Party’s Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn is calling out People’s National Party President, Mark Golding, saying he “crossed the line” with remarks made about Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ wife during Thursday night’s debate.
In a post on X, Cuthbert-Flynn declared: “My husband and children are sacred. He did it twice. Crossed a line in a man-to-man debate.”
Golding had questioned possible conflicts of interest in real estate development, pointing out that oversight falls under the Prime Minister’s office while both Andrew and Juliet Holness are involved in the industry.
The Prime Minister shot back, defending his family’s integrity. He reminded Jamaicans that he and his wife started from humble beginnings, even running taxis, and stressed that his family are hardworking Jamaicans. Holness added that despite the attacks, “no weapon formed against us shall prosper.”
The fiery exchange has sparked heated reactions across the island as the campaign season intensifies.
