Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Joint Military Team Increase Student Searches: Following the arrest of three students who are suspected to be linked to a number of murders and shootings which occurred in the Montego Bay areas over the past week,  Joint Military team paid extra attention to students.

The special forces placed more efforts while carrying out searches on these teenage students traveling by public transportation, including  JUTC buses.  The officers escorted the students from the buses and took great care in searching their bags and persons.

A number of these students who were observed to be dressing inappropriately were held at bay until the officers were satisfied that they had rearranged themselves and looked as if they were really going to school.

Based on observations, most of the male students who were seen dressed in very tight pants and used handkerchiefs to tie around their necks were in fact from communities within the inner city of Montego Bay.

Three boys ages 16, 15 and 14 years were taken into custody on Thursday afternoon in connection with a number of murders and shootings that have taken place in the Carol Gardens policing area.

These boys are also said to be involved with a well known teenage gang operating out of the area and are also involved in an extortion ring.
