KINGSTON, Jamaica – February 6, 2017 – The Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport has been advised by the Board of Directors of the Institute of Sports that it has suspended its Administrative Director, Mr Ian Andrews, on allegations of misconduct.
Mr Andrews has been suspended with pay and with immediate effect pending an investigation.
Mr Andrews is to hand over all property belonging to INSPORTS to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport which will have oversight of INSPORTS until an acting Administrative Director is appointed.
The Ministry will make no further comment on the matter at this time.
