Husband of Slain Manchester Teacher Arrested

Latest Jamaica News: Husband of Slain Manchester Teacher Arrested – A report reaching Mckoy’s News from a police source, is that the husband of the late Bishop Gibson High School Teacher (Mrs. Carolyn Davis – Campbell); who was shot and killed at her home in Manchester on July 9th, has been taken into custody.

The police reported that there is little that can be said at this time, but the husband (identity withheld) was taken in custody earlier this week for questioning in connection to the murder.

Reports by the police are that, during the wee hours of Tuesday night, July 9th, into Wednesday morning, a group of armed men forced their way inside the teacher’s home, while she was allegedly in bed with her husband.

It is further reported that the gunmen demanded money and when their demands were not met, they opened fire hitting Mrs. Davis Campbell multiple times to her upper body.

Her husband who residents say, ran from the house, escaped unhurt, and his actions have caught the attention of several residents in the community.

The police were summoned to the scene, and upon their arrival, Davis-Campbell was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Husband of Slain Manchester Teacher Arrested.
