Bishop Gibson High Teacher Shot to Death

Latest Jamaica News, Manchester: A popular female teacher who taught at the Bishop Gibson High School, in the Parish of Manchester, was shot and killed by gunmen at her home in Melrose News district, in the parish on Tuesday night. July 9.

She has been identified as Carolyn Davis-Campbell, of the same community.

Reports by the police are that, during the wee hours of Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, a group of armed men forced their way inside the teacher’s home, while she was in bed with her husband.

It is further reported that the gunmen demanded money and when their demands were not met, they opened fire hitting Mrs. Davis Campbell multiple times to her upper body.

Her husband who residents say ran from the house, escaped unhurt.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Davis-Campbell was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
