Bryan Shelly, the alleged gun-for-hire behind the June 9, 2020, murder of 36-year-old Tamara Geddes, was remanded into custody when he appeared before the Trelawny Circuit Court on Thursday.
Shelly will remain in custody until November 24 of this year.
Police reports indicate that around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, Geddes and her 10-year-old daughter were at their two-story family house in Reserved district, Trelawny, when a masked man armed with a handgun forced his way inside and held them at gunpoint.

The gunman demanded money and proceeded to rob Geddes of $16,000 in cash and her two cell phones.
It is further reported that the masked gunman left the house but returned minutes later, again holding Geddes at gunpoint. This time, he demanded sex. When his demands were not met, he opened fire, hitting her multiple times in clear view of her daughter.
The gunman then fled the house and escaped into nearby bushes. The daughter of the deceased raised an alarm, and other family members, who were downstairs, ran to investigate.
They discovered that Geddes had been shot. She was rushed to the Falmouth hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Following an investigation, Geddes’ sister, Nadeen Geddes, confessed to hiring a hitman to kill her sister and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Her nieces, Shanice Ruddock and Janae Smith, also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder and were each given five-year suspended sentences.
Two other men involved in the plot to kill Geddes over a family land dispute were also sentenced to prison. Fifty-five-year-old Owen Irving was sentenced to 20 years for conspiracy, and 33-year-old Tashana Young received a five-year sentence for conspiracy to murder.
