St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Heavy Rainfall Affects State of Emergency: Residents in St James are now saying that it would appear that the heavy downpour of rain on Friday afternoon creates a negative impact on the State of Emergency which has been imposed on the parish of St James.

Several residents and business operators say they were amazed to see only a handful of security presence were on the streets.

The large number of joint military which were seen over the past two days at several checkpoints to and from the parish was now reduced to just a handful of police personnel and few JDF soldiers.

There was absolutely no security detail seen on a number of major streets in and around the inner city and also limited security at the inner city hot spots.

The limited amount of security detail it would appear has resulted from constant heavy rainfall on Friday afternoon.
