Kingston, Jamaica — Oquassa Chong netted a brace, including a last-minute winner, as Harbour View secured a 2-1 victory over Molynes United in their Jamaica Premier League clash on Sunday. The match marked Harbour View’s return to their refurbished Compound grounds, hosting their first game there since the 2020 season.
Chong, who had also scored an equaliser in Harbour View’s previous 2-1 comeback win against Montego Bay United on Monday, opened the scoring in the 58th minute. Molynes United responded with a 68th-minute equaliser from Jason Wright, setting up a tense finale. However, Chong sealed the victory in the 90th minute, pushing Harbour View to six points.
In another Sunday fixture at the Wembley Centre of Excellence, 10-man Vere United managed a last-minute equaliser to draw 1-1 with Humble Lion in a heated Clarendon derby. Vere’s Michael Forbes was sent off in the 72nd minute after receiving his second yellow card. Moments later, Karim Bryan gave Humble Lion the lead, but Vere’s Kishane Gordon struck in the 90th minute to rescue a point for his team.
