A joint security team operating within the Zone of Special Operations in Norwood, St James, are now combing sections of the area in search of a group of gunmen, who set fire to two motor vehicle in the community, while damaging two others with a hail of bullets.
Reports are that one victim identified as a 53-year-old taxi operator parked his 2012 Toyota Voxy bus in the vicinity of his house, and 38-year-old tanker driver parked his 2016 grey Toyota Premio motorcar in the same yard, and they both retired to bed.
About 3:40am, they were awoken by gunshot being fired, and it was discovered that both vehicles were on fire.
The Voxy bus was completely destroyed by the fire, while the motor car sustained severe damages.
Before leaving the community, the gunmen fired a barrage of shots causing damages to a white 2011 Toyota Corolla, and a white 2005 Toyota Alion motor car.
