New York City – (See video below) Sebastian Zapeta, a Guatemalan migrant, has been arrested and charged with murder and arson in connection with the horrific attack on a woman on the New York City subway.
Surveillance footage captured the disturbing incident, showing Zapeta approaching the woman, who appeared to be sleeping, on an F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station in Brooklyn. He then set her clothing on fire and watched as she was engulfed in flames.
Zapeta was apprehended later that day after being identified by a group of high school students who recognized him from images circulated by police.
This incident has sparked widespread outrage and renewed debate surrounding immigration and public safety.
