A 25-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash along the Goshen main road in St Elizabeth early Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ricardo Foster, of Goshen in the parish.
Reports are that about 5:00 a.m., Foster was driving a grey Honda motor car from Goshen towards Santa Cruz when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the roadway and slammed into a tree.
Foster was flung from the vehicle on impact, sustaining severe injuries. He died on the spot.
Police investigators suspect speeding may have been a factor in the crash, which has left residents of the quiet Goshen community stunned.
The St Elizabeth police continue their investigations.
