Four Men Charged in St Ann Jewellery Robbery and Extortion Case

Four men have been charged following the alleged theft of jewellery worth approximately US$30,000 from a man leaving an event in Priory, St Ann, on October 18.

They are Oshane Fitten, 28; Jordan Grant, 25; Miguel Thomas, 26, otherwise called “Plummie”; and Antonio Wright, 26, otherwise called “CJ”.

All four face charges of robbery with aggravation, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony, and extortion.

Police allege Fitten and Grant robbed the complainant at gunpoint about 3:15 a.m. before escaping in a waiting truck.

Grant allegedly later demanded $2 million to return the items. The complainant reportedly agreed to $1 million and arranged a meeting, then alerted police.

Investigators intercepted and arrested the four men. Police say the stolen chain and watch were recovered.

A court date was being finalised.
